The Mishra lab is a neurosensory lab based at the College of Veterinary Medicine-NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our research focuses on dissecting the molecular mechanisms of sensory detection and transduction of itch and pain sensation for both acute and chronic disease by using mouse genetics model systems. We use multidisciplinary approaches to shed light on this complex sensory mechanism from disease to genes to neurons to behavior.
